Who the 1099 is addressed to

A commission is nonemployee compensation, so every person or entity the brokerage pays needs a taxpayer identification number on file before the first cheque, not in January. PURE holds 1099-NEC forms it cannot file without a TIN attached; this form is where that stops happening.
